Duration of our courses

Ten week courses: Twenty hours of classes meaning once a week two hours.

Five week courses: Twenty hours of classes meaning twice a week two hours.

The Spanish Line respects the schedule of British bank holidays, therefore no classes take place on a public holiday and the course is automatically extended.

Minimum requirements for each course

Our courses are designed for adults, therefore we do request our students to be 18 years or above.

In order to ensure high quality language teaching our courses require certain Spanish language knowledge which is described at the introduction section of each course. We do encourage our students, should they have any doubts or questions to please contact us directly before making any arrangements.

Tuition of the courses

Tuition for our courses is to be paid in advance. Payment can either be made via credit/debit card or via bank transfer to the bank account of The Spanish Line Ltd.

Our tuition is VAT inclusive.

No extra charges shall apply unless previously agreed with the student.

Course books and material used

During our courses we use the ELE Spanish Language books with audio CDs included, complement it with The Spanish Line – Exercise books and various other online tools that make our classes highly entertaining.

An online version of the corresponding ELE Spanish language book and The Spanish Line – Exercise books are included in the tuition (one book and one exercise book per student per level) and will be sent to each student via email. All returning students shall keep their books and exercise books unless the level they join requires new course material, in this case The Spanish Line Ltd. takes responsability to provide an online version of the course material complimentary.

*As we optimize our teaching methods to our student’s need, for our One to one private classes and Private conversation classes the preferred course book shall be purchased by the students.

Required minimum number of students per course

We require a minimum number of six students in order to run our group courses. Whilst we make every effort to run each of our courses as advertised, we may not be able to guarantee a course that fails to meet the minumum required number of students.

In case there are not enough students for a course to start we shall provide the following alternative solution:

We may still decide to run the course

We may offer the student a place in one of our other courses (same level)

In case we are not able to find a suitable alternative, The Spanish Line Ltd. agrees to refund the full tuition to the original bank account of the student.

Allowed maximum number of students per course

In order to ensure high quality teaching our courses have a maximum of twelve places available for students to book.

Cancellation and Refunds

Our courses have limited availability and many of our classes sell out. For this reason, we request that you cancel your participation at least one week (seven calendar days) before the scheduled start day of your course. This will allow us to offer your spot to another student. You may contact us directly via email (hablamos@thespanishline.co.uk) to cancel.

In case you fail to meet the deadline of one week prior to the scheduled start day of your course, 100% cancellation fee applies. 

Please note, in case the free cancellation deadline is missed The Spanish Line Ltd. is not in the position to refund any tuition. 

Should The Spanish Line Ltd. for any reason not be able to run a course and no suitable option is found to accommodate the student all paid tuition will be refunded to the student’s original bank account.

Liability of The Spanish Line Ltd.

The Spanish Line Ltd. guarantees that all parts of the course are supplied as described and that all services shall reach reasonable standards unless failure or improper performance is attributable to:

The fault of the student.

The unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of a third party.

Unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the The Spanish Line’s control, including force majeure. (A force majeure event refers to the occurrence of an event which is outside the reasonable control of The Spanish Line and which prevents The Spanish Line from performing its obligations under this contract.)

Availability to transfer to another course

If a student would like to change his/her reservation for a course it is requested that he/she contacts The Spanish Line immediately via email (hablamos@thespanishline.co.uk). We will do everything that is in our power to accommodate the request depending our availability.

Please note that transfer to another course should not occur later than right after the first class of a course and unless there is a specific reason should be limited to once only and is to be confirmed by email via The Spanish Line.

Video recording of our classes

The Spanish Line is committed to delivering the highest level of language teaching possible. Increasingly, technology is being used where appropriate to enhance the student learning experience. Reflecting strong student demand in this area, The Spanish Line is committed to making lecture recordings available to students as part of its teaching provision upon a student request, in case the student is not able to access our class and the rest of the students and the teacher agree to the recording of the lecture.

Lecture recordings are provided for the personal use of students for educational purposes only. Recordings and parts of recordings may not be redistributed, shared, edited or re-used. For clarification, redistribution, which is prohibited, includes sending a copy to another person by email and adding it to a website / social media website (e.g. and not limited to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter).

Returning student discount (applicable for group courses only)

Every student of The Spanish Line is entitled to a 5% loyalty discount for a new course upon successful completion of their current course. (Please note that The Spanish Line Ltd. does not allow the combination of various discounts, and automatically apply the highest discount available on the website)
