Our Spanish for Beginners A1 courses set the fundamentals for your future Spanish studies. The Beginners level is dedicated to learn how to interact with your most direct environment (family, friends, work place, shops, free time activities, etc.).

Grammar

Understand the usage of the verb ser for description
Understand the usage of the verb estar to describe locations
Prepositions and adverbs of place
Observe further differences between the verbs ser and estar
Differences between hay (there is) and tener (to have)
Learn the usage of the verbs: gustar, encantar, interesar
Pronouns of indirect objects
Adverbs: tampoco, también, si, no
Indicative present tense, regular, irregular and reflexive verbs
Reflexive pronouns

Minimal requirements of the course

Our Spanish for beginners course is designed for adults, therefore we do request our students to be 18 years of age or above.

Course books and material used during our Spanish for beginners courses

During our course we use the ELE Actual A1 by Virgilio Borobio with audio CD included, complement it with The Spanish Line – La Primera Parada Exercise book and various other online tools that make our classes highly entertaining.

An online version of the ELE Actual A1 language book and The Spanish Line – Exercise book are included in the tuition (one book and one exercise book per student per level) and will be sent to each student via email.

Required minimum and allowed maximum number of students per course

We require a minimum number of 6 students in our group courses and to ensure high quality teaching we allow a maximum of 10 students.
